JACOB LAMBERT: kind of ideal but mostly the worst thing ever

if you read this stuff you're obviously aware, thanks to my repetition of thoughts, that i'm time poor and need to sit down and do more computer-related work. Hence why I had to bail on the USA trip, that I was supposed to make departure for today. In a twist of tears, yesterday afternoon, I crashed my skateboard into pothole and then my entire body into a gutter at a speed that sent me sliding within it for 15 meters. I can't walk, thanks to what I'm hoping is just bruising and not a fractured heel, and I can't sleep because of the pain and profuse weeping from about 8% (1 palm + fingers = 1%) of my skin as it is dispersed somewhere along the gutter.. BUT I can sit at my computer and do work!! and work have I been doing! it's tricky though, sitting and things like that are sub ideal, although it's fine, as getting really hurt is probably one of the biggest contributing factors as to why it is so fun to skateboard down hills really fast and although it's tricky to imagine, this video might demonstrate why. I feel like there are times when getting hurt provides me with a much needed reality check but I'm not sure about this one as, just like all others, I wasn't concentrating enough. I've put myself in a great position whereby i don't need to push myself on a skateboard because it's not my skating that gets me around the world, it's sitting there on the side of the road watching people push themselves. The only proper bad thing (touch wood regarding heel scenario) is that I can't go to work/move into my new zone/be mobile at all and those are the priorities for this travel ban I've imposed upon myself.

I don't know why I thought it was a good idea to go through skate photos when I can't move or exhume the stoke that is welling up inside me but I did it anyway so here they are. Actually I went through these a while ago but I like the idea of posting chronologically so I'll save the ones I did today for a later date.

These fots were shot on a tour through NZ, which I was on earlier this year, and it will probably be the first trip I go on, post-embargo, in Feb next year. I'm intrigued by doing the exact same thing but trying to photograph it uniquely... maybe i'll shoot everything upside down. As you can probably tell by the huge logos, these shots were ran in Concrete Wave.
